Roland Berger to Discuss Crucial Challenges to the Global Automotive Supply Chain at the 2020 AASA Vision Conference

Barry Neal, Partner, Roland Berger, Will Explore How Global Supply Chains Can Adapt in an Environment of Trade Wars, Global Political Shifts, and More

Date: January 31, 2020
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – AASA announced that Barry Neal, Partner, Roland Berger, will be a featured speaker at the 2020 AASA Vision Conference, set for March 26 in Rosemont, Ill.

In his session, “Supply Chain Disruption: How Trade Wars, Vertical Integration, and the End of Cheap China Challenge the Global Automotive Supply Chain,” Mr. Neal will review the current state of the global automotive supply chain, analysis and forecasts, plus the future attractiveness of countries and ownership models in the global supply chain.

This exclusive sneak peek at AASA’s newest member-only landmark study will be made available to Vision Conference attendees.

“The extended tariffs have accelerated a major shift in aftermarket production already in progress, driven by changes in labor rates, increasing SKU complexity, and increasingly closed economic policies,” said Mr. Neal. “I’m looking forward to discussing this and other critical supply chain topics at this year’s AASA Vision Conference.”

“In the wake of recent economic and political shifts, the importance of this urgent discussion about the global automotive supply chain cannot be overstated,” said Paul McCarthy, AASA President and COO. “Roland Berger’s insights will help aftermarket suppliers understand and adapt to recent and future global supply chain disruptions. We are extremely grateful that Barry will lead this timely discussion at the 2020 AASA Vision Conference.”

AASA members attending the Conference also can take advantage of an additional benefit: attendance at the association council meetings held in conjunction with the event. Member conference participants can attend the AASA Intellectual Property Council (IPC), AASA Marketing Executives Council (MEC), and AASA AAPEX Event Committee (AAEC) meetings on March 25 and meetings for the AASA Technology Council (ATC) and the AASA Modern Industry eXpertise (MiX) Council on March 27. Council meeting attendance is limited to AASA members only; some limitations apply, and pre-registration is required. Contact info@aftermarketsuppliers.org for more information.
