Doug Kubinak, vice president sales – organizational development and strategic initiatives, with East Penn Manufacturing Co. Inc., will participate in a roundtable discussion at the AASA Modern Industry eXpertise (MiX) meeting on Thursday, June 27, as the first participant in the MiX Executive Partnership Program. The Council will host Kubinak in a roundtable discussion, then open the floor for his questions of the members.

“We’re very excited to host Doug at our June meeting, and look forward to a lively and informative discussion,” said Ben Brucato, AASA senior director of membership and sponsorship and group executive of MiX. “He brings a great deal of experience to the meeting and I’m sure that our members and East Penn will benefit from this partnership.”

Kubinak began his career at East Penn in August 1985 as a sales trainee and expanded his career to numerous positions within the company in various regions of the United States: account executive – OE sales, sales manager – private brands, assistant vice president – sales and vice president – sales, branded automotive batteries. Over his three decades at East Penn, Kubinak has spearheaded the company’s Campus Recruiting, Mentor / Protégé Program and Culture Club initiatives. He is active in various industry associations, including AASA, to “stay in touch” with others continuing to bridge the generational gaps within college campuses and the hiring needs of today’s employers.

The MiX Executive Partnership Program advances the council’s use as an advisory board which represents millennials from aftermarket supplier companies. In addition to the interaction with MiX members at the meeting, executive hosts receive a compilation of all the responses and comments made during their round table.

The next MiX meeting is set for Thursday, June 27, at Delphi Technologies in Auburn Hills, Mich. AASA member executives interested in participating in future MiX meetings as an Executive Partner should contact Ben Brucato.
