Dorman: Innovation Is Part of Our Culture

Dorman has “re-tooled” its Service Dealer Guide (SDG) after 10 years to better reflect what the company has become -- leaders in the aftermarket in engineering, design and innovation, according to Tom Donoghue, vice president of marketing.
“We now highlight the OE part problem and the Dorman fix on every part featured, we learned through research that technicians want to know the story behind the fix, not just part numbers and application data,” he explained. “The new OE Fix Guide illustrates what makes Dorman unique in the marketplace in that we design OE Fix parts that save technicians time, money or effort. The OE Fix catalog not only features our main product features -- Body, Chassis, Electronics, Engine, HVAC and Under Car -- but also explains our unique innovation process and in-house capabilities at our corporate headquarters in Pennsylvania.”
The result? “The response to this new OE Fix Guide has been overwhelming from our customers in that we have gone back to print two additional times to keep up with demand,” Tom said.
