Digital Transformation Is Coming to the Aftermarket – Webinar Video Now Available to Members

Date: May 23, 2019
The video recording of AASA’s May 16 webinar with Roland Berger, focused on the new groundbreaking report “Digital Transformation: The ‘New Retail’ Future of the Aftermarket (and How to Win),” is now available exclusively to members here.

Barry Neal, Roland Berger partner, operations strategy advisory for automotive and industrial clients, and Brandon Boyle, partner, Roland Berger, addressed the new aftermarket business models, diving deeper into the report based on feedback from their AASA Vision Conference presentation in April. Moderated by Paul McCarthy, MEMA senior vice president and AASA executive vice president, the webinar discussion centered on the new distribution and service models being pursued by existing aftermarket players, how the new “digital giants” will impact the aftermarket – and what AASA members need to do now to win.

Through interviews with subject matter experts, digital experts and suppliers, Digital Transformation: The ‘New Retail’ Aftermarket (And How to Win) report from AASA and Roland Berger carefully details how the aftermarket landscape is changing and the effect it will have the movement and sales of goods.

As it notes, disruption in the aftermarket will create both winners and losers in the supply chain. To win in the “new retail,” players will need to develop a new set of capabilities: developing an omnichannel strategy is the first step. Players that are able to take the lead in this transition and differentiate themselves are much more likely to be the winners in the o2o world.

The webinar can be viewed here and the full report can be downloaded here. Member login information is required; members experiencing difficulties can contact Nikki Rankin for assistance.
