Bosch’s Mark Phipps Selected as BMC Executive Committee Chairman

Mark Phipps, director of engineering, Bosch Brake Components, was elected chairman of the Brake Manufacturers Council (BMC) Executive Committee at the group’s recent mid-year meeting. BMC is a product council of AASA.
 
Rick Jamieson, president and CEO, ABS Friction, was elected BMC vice chairman, and Jack Carney, president and CEO, FDP Brakes, will serve as the immediate past chairman. Bill Murray, vice president, global sales for NUCAP Industries, will continue to serve as a member at large.
 
New additions to the BMC Executive Committee as members at large are:
 
  • John Bennett, managing director, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions
  • HT Chang, vice president of engineering, Brake Parts Inc.
  • Frank Oliveto, vice president of sales and marketing – Americas, Util Group
 
Walt Britland, director of aftermarket engineering, Federal-Mogul Motorparts, completed his term on the BMC Executive Committee as immediate past chairman. He will continue to contribute as a member of several BMC committees.
 
Jack Carney was recognized by Bill Long, MEMA president and CEO and AASA president and COO, for his leadership on the Executive Committee for the past two years.
