AASA Suppliers Urged to Attend USMCA Briefing with USTR

Date: June 13, 2019
All AASA supplier members with operations in North America are encouraged to attend an important briefing with United States Trade Representative (USTR) staff to review the details of the new North American trade deal on Monday, June 24, at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research in Greenville, S.C.
Registration is now open and the full agenda can be viewed here. The registration deadline is Thursday, June 20.
The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) will replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) if it is ratified by Congress and the other two trade partners. A vote to ratify the deal could take place later this year.
This meeting is an opportunity for members to hear directly from the office of the USTR, gain an overview of what is in the agreement, and to ask questions about how the agreement could impact business.
The event is open to all members of MEMA divisions – AASA, HDMA, MERA, and OESA – and non-members. This is an industry only, off the record event. The registration fee is $100 for members and $150 for non-members.
