AASA Mobility Technology Council Hosted CCC for Discussion of Telematics in the Collision Industry

Date: April 11, 2019
The AASA Mobility Technology Council (MTC) hosted Dan Risley, vice president of quality repair and market development for CCC Information Services, for a discussion of telematics in the collusion industry. Collision, insurance and telematics are connected, and Risley addressed how this might impact the mechanical side of the industry. The Council met on April 4 in Dearborn, Mich., following the 2019 AASA Vision Conference.

Other discussion topics at the MTC Q2 Meeting included a presentation by Peggy Fisher, president, TireStamp, “Thinking Like an Automotive Technology Startup”; a report from MEMA Vice President Legal Affairs Catherine Boland on AASA and MEMA membership in the U.S. Vehicle Data Access Coalition (USVDAC); and updates on two of the Council’s initiatives: Accessing Telematics/Vehicle Data and ADAS. Presentations are available at the IPC member portal on the AASA website.

The MTC’s next meeting is set for Thursday, Sept. 5, followed by the Council’s event, “AutoTech Connect” on Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 6. More details will be announced about the event soon.
