‘Three Dragons’ Rematch and ‘Channel Partner Excellence Award’ Presentation Set for 2019 AASA Vision Conference

The highly rated “Three Dragons: Three Competing Views of the Aftermarket” debate from this year’s Vision Conference is slated for a rematch at the 2019 event. The 2019 AASA Vision Conference is set for Wednesday, April 3, at The Henry, Dearborn, Mich.

Presenting their distinct viewpoints on how the aftermarket will unfold in 2019-2020 are:

  • Nathan Shipley, director of client development, The NPD Group
  • Bret Jordan, managing director, Jefferies LLC
  • Natalie Soroka of the International Trade Administration (subject to final approval by the U.S. Department of Commerce)

Registration is now open for the 2019 event and agenda planning is well underway -- the major themes and discussions for 2019 are here. In addition to “Three Dragons,” this year’s program also will include presentations on the aftermarket’s access to data; the tariff debate; and the “Customer Spotlight” focused on a major aftermarket channel partner.

The 2019 AASA Vision Conference also will include the inaugural presentation of a new industry recognition, the Channel Excellence Award presented by Epicor. Application details for the AASA Channel Excellence Award are available here and are due by Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019.

Programs or initiatives launched in the past 18 months are eligible for the award. Entries must be a collaborative effort between an aftermarket supplier and a channel partner, including retailers, e-tailers, distributors, repair facilities, national service chains, etc. In addition, the program should be innovative and utilize technology, such as data analytics, robotics, artificial intelligence and/or digital business processes.

A panel of experts representing aftermarket leaders, AASA and Epicor will select three finalists by Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019. Each finalist will submit a short video, which will be posted on the AASA and Epicor websites and played during the Conference. The winner will be announced at the event.
