​Consumer Sentiment Is Up in Latest AASA Dashboard

U.S. consumer sentiment marked a new high point in May, breaking the previous record set in September 2018, according to the updated AASA Dashboard. The latest key indicators for the automotive aftermarket are available in the AASA Dashboard to download and use in presentations or in your own forecasting models.
Updated monthly, the AASA Dashboard provides up-to-date information from trusted resources in one location rather than searching through multiple websites and publications. Trusted sources include:
  • Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) from the U.S. Census Bureau: auto parts, accessories and tire stores
  • U.S. miles driven from the Department of Transportation
  • Gas prices from the U.S. Energy Information Administration
  • New car sales from NADA
  • U.S. consumer sentiment from Trading Economics
  • U.S. unemployment from the Bureau of Labor Statistics
  • International exchange rates from Oanda
  • Select commodities change percentage from
  • Weather data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Presented as graphs, the AASA Dashboard is easy to read and highly accessible – the charts and graphs can be downloaded here to include in presentations within your company and to customers.
