James (Jay) Burkhart

Jay Burkhart is the president of TRICO Group, a leading global OEM and aftermarket supplier of wiper products/systems, automotive filtration products, fuel/water pumps, vehicle lift support products, and engine ignition products.  Jay was pivotal in developing and growing TRICO Group into a highly competitive group of maintenance and repair brands.

Prior to TRICO Group, Jay was Senior Vice President, Global Aftermarket, a member of the Strategy Board and an officer of Federal-Mogul Corporation. He was responsible for sales, marketing and distribution of Federal-Mogul’s aftermarket products and brands globally.

Burkhart joined Federal-Mogul in 1998 with the acquisition of Cooper Automotive and
prior to joining Cooper, he was vice president of marketing, worldwide, for Tenneco Automotive (Monroe/Walker). 

Jays marketing pedigree was originally shaped by a decade in the packaged goods (Borden, Hunt-Wesson, and more) industry before entering the automotive industry.

Burkhart earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio.
