Alan is a managing director with Deloitte Digital. He focuses on strategy and solutions in vehicle remarketing, auto retail, fleet electrification and Transport Network Company (TNC) operations, as applied to ride hailing and vehicle sharing. Alan is the lead consulting partner at CarMax, in addition, Alan leads engagements at Hertz and Uber.
Alan has a 25 years track record in the auto industry with assignments in Germany, France, UK and Japan. At IBM, he was director of IBM Service After Sales™, a global business unit, serving OEMs and dealers in fixed operations, warranty and telematics. He led an IBM research team to produce the first connected vehicle for DaimlerChrysler. At Reynolds & Reynolds, a major DMS CRM solutions provider, he was vice president OEM dealer solutions group. Alan participated in a management buyout of Winoa SA, an automotive supplier, formerly known as Wheelabrator Alevard SA. He restructured its North American operations and pulled it back to profitability.
Alan is an ASE certified master tech in passenger cars and class 8 trucks. Alan was co-awarded US patent 6330499B1 “system and method for vehicle diagnostics and health monitoring.”
