The ATC has four Think Tanks focused on specific topics that meet monthly to discuss issues, new ideas and potential new solutions. The sharing of ideas among members already has provided real value to participants. Think Tanks are a member benefit for all ATC members, and members are encouraged to involve others from their companies.
The Think Tank topics are:
  • Data Analytics & BI
  • Advanced Vehicle Technologies
  • Load Sheets / PIES
  • E-tailing Preparedness
 
Data Analytics & BI
Engage with other industry thought leaders as we work together to:
  • Identify how business intelligence which will impact the automotive industry
  • Predict what those impacts will be and when they are likely to occur
  • Identify areas the Industry should focus on (if any) to offset negative impacts and exploit positive impacts
Outcomes of these Think Tank sessions:
  • Report out at ATC Spring/Fall meetings
  • Contribution to ATC Technology Roadmap (white paper etc.)
  • Potential spawn of work groups to address identified areas of concern/focus

Advanced Vehicle Technologies
  • Engage with other industry thought leaders as we work together to:
  • Identify emerging vehicle technologies which will impact the automotive industry
  • Predict what those impacts will be and when they are likely to occur

  • Understand growing demands of Data Load Sheets and identify potential opportunities!

  • Exchange challenges in creating Data Load Sheets

  • Identify obstacles to full adoption of PIES

  • Determine if load sheets are here to stay or is PIES truly the obtainable goal for the automotive industry

  • Explore and share opportunities and best time-saving practices that will meet customer expectations

E-tailing Preparedness
Explore issues and creative solutions in eCommerce/E-Tailing as it relates to the Automotive Aftermarket. This team will be focused on documenting common pitfalls for aftermarket supplier companies that are just now embarking on their own eCommerce strategy and/or working via 3rd party trading partners, or even seasoned veterans of internet parts selling, direct or indirect. We’ll collectively mine experts and peers alike to discover best practices in both front-end and back-end matters for the benefit of not only your own eStrategy, but for the entire industry
