OBD I/M Testing Flowchart

OBD I/M Testing Flowchart is reference tool developed by the EPA, the California Air Resources Board (CARB), the OEMs and members of the Equipment and Tool Institute for inspection and maintenance (I/M) administrators writing state OBD I/M programs.

GENERIC OBD PROTOCOLS

The Equipment and Tools Institute (ETI) built and maintains matrices that identify OBD systems to provide ongoing reviews of systems, capabilities and information availability. It currently tracks six major systems at present: engine, transmission, ABS brake, air bags, HVAC and cruise control.

NASTF

The National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) was founded as an automotive industry cooperative. Its mission is to create an open dialogue to identify gaps in information the aftermarket needs in order to repair vehicles in a fashion similar to new car dealers.
