Counterfeiting - OESA IP Committee

The OESA Legal Issues Council (LIC) formed a Intellectual Property (IP) Committee, in response to concerns OE suppliers have with IP protection within the supplier/customer relationship. OESA members have shared IP concerns at each Council meeting and identify IP protection as a strategically challenging issue for the OE supplier industry.

The mission of the IP Committee is to share best practices on intellectual property protection related to the customer/supplier relationship. The Committee will meet quarterly and examine a single topic. Some future IP topics include:

  • Protection against OEM infringement
  • Non-disclosure agreements and confidentiality
  • Supplier tooling
  • Black-box design and Copyright notices
  • Non-competition agreements
  • Licensing and revenue generation

OESA Regular Members interested in the IP Committee may contact Margaret Baxter, at mbaxter@oesa.org or go to www.oesa.org .
