Representing America 's Largest Manufacturing Industry
Automotive suppliers are the backbone behind new innovations consumers enjoy to make their lives more productive, enjoyable and safer while they are on America 's roads. The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association is the leading representative of automotive parts and component suppliers in Washington , D.C. and provides strong federal and state advocacy and representation on behalf of its members.

MEMA-Washington staff regularly meets with members of Congress and their staff, regulatory officials and members of the Administration to shape regulations and legislation that directly affect the automotive supplier industry.

MEMA's legislative priorities are determined each calendar year by the Government Affairs Committee (GAC), a working group made up of executives from MEMA's three market segment associations. The committee guides staff in establishing specific legislative, regulatory and public affairs goals and develops plans to help achieve them. Participation is open to all MEMA member companies.
