Fuel Pump Manufacturers Working Group

The AASA Fuel Pump Manufacturers Working Group (FPMWG) recommends that diagnostic and test equipment be utilized to ensure proper repairs are performed and correct replacement parts are used. The group recommends that repair shops, technicians, stores, counterpersons and DIYers consider the attached lists of testing and diagnostic equipment vendors.

Fuel System and Fuel Pump Testers

Neither AASA nor the FPMWG endorse any one company or tester, but it does recommend the use of quality fuel system and fuel pump testers to facilitate the diagnosis of fuel systems is recommended. In many cases, proper testing will help identify the source of a fuel system problem and eliminate the pump as the cause of the problem.
