AASA Marketing Executives Council
The AASA “Know Your Parts” campaign is an initiative of the association and the AASA Marketing Executives Council (MEC). Since its formation in 2006, the Council has studied a growing trend among various channel partners featuring lower-cost, often lower-performing aftermarket parts in an attempt to offer more competitive pricing and/or improve profit margins.
The

Know Your Parts Exhibit at AAPEX 2011

The
AASA Know Your Parts exhibit will once again be located at AAPEX 2011 in Sands # 3800 at the entrance to the main hall, to help promote the association's industry education and awareness campaign.
The purpose of the display is to raise awareness of the differences between low quality, low cost parts and those products backed by AASA full service aftermarket suppliers. AASA built the display using of sample parts and marketing literature donated by members. Members of the AASA Marketing Executives Council also volunteer their time during AAPEX to assist in staffing the exhibit and answering questions.
