MEMA Information Services Council: Focused on the E-commerce and Information Technology Issues Facing Suppliers
The MEMA Information Services Council is a professional peer council of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association. It is a forum for information technology, information services, e-commerce and related executives to network, learn about current and future technology trends, and address areas that support members’ efforts to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
The MIS Council provides physical and virtual forums for the sharing of ideas and best practices, especially those that directly affect the automotive and heavy duty aftermarket supply chains. Areas of focus include:
- Annual Fall Conference – The only event in the industry exclusively focused on the needs of the IT/IS executive from motor vehicle parts suppliers
- Customer E-commerce Matrix – Enables suppliers to identify, sort, search and download the e-commerce standards and technologies required by aftermarket resellers
- Online Member Profile – Enables members to identify other members with similar software and hardware applications to contact them for sharing of ideas. Application vendors, including affiliate members, are listed for reference
- Standards – Host and maintain industry EDI standards and links to other industry standards
- Supplier Forum – Annual focus group provides member CIOs an opportunity to identify challenges, solutions and directives for the association and manufacturing base
- MIS Council Web Site – Comprehensive resource of information on events, white papers, E-commerce Matrix and much more at www.miscouncil.org [LINK]
Member companies of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association or Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association may join the MIS Council, including both suppliers and solution providers.
