AASA Membership Has Impact
AASA is the only organization which exclusively represents the legislative and regulatory interests of the North American automotive aftermarket supplier industry.
Public policies can significantly impact your business – and AASA is on your side. We work to raise awareness at the state and national level that motor vehicle parts suppliers are this country’s largest single manufacturing industry, directly employing more than 783,000 people across the United States and indirectly employing 1.97 million more.
Members benefit from AASA’s access, intelligence, analysis and advocacy on a wide range of public policy issues. AASA also provides forums through member committees and task forces to discuss issues and respond with responsible policy positions.
- Legislative Summit: This annual event is AASA members’ chance to meet face-to-face with our nation’s senators and representatives to discuss important issues facing the aftermarket industry.
- iStateLink Access: This state-by-state legislative and regulatory analysis which is continually updated with the latest information is a free service to members valued at $35,000 per annual individual subscription.
- Biennial Ride & Drive: Every other year, AASA members have the opportunity to demonstrate the latest aftermarket technology to Congress and representatives of regulatory agencies in a one-on-one, hands-on setting.
- Government Affairs Committee: AASA members can participate in the GAC’s quarterly meetings, setting the AASA agenda in Washington and the states, and contributing to proactive actions on legislative and regulatory issues.
- An “Inside Source” to Government Affairs Information: AASA’s Washington staff provides you with the latest information on legislative and regulatory news and information through its twice-weekly Washington Insider e-newsletter and its Web site, www.automotivesupplier.org.
